Theres no experts, only people that have tried more times than you
In the first half of this week, I decided that I have learnt enough coding to not become an expert 😲!
Yeah for real, whilst being a developer is a dope skill for complex stuff, I really value my time and will be using the tools that allow me to get things out there without having to build every single thing from scratch.
I choose to ship early and often and use what I learn to double down 🚀
So this list of codeless tools are perfect if you want to explore how to build like this.
I’m a fake no-coder and a fake coder - I’m in the cool middle 😎
The litmus test for me is a tool that works with Zapier and also allows me to export the code for customisations. I will be exploring Webflow, and it’s mobile responsive too! 📱
Design
This week I used Marvel and Whimsical to get my prototypes out. I found that Whimsical gives you a lot for free but Marvel has great templates.

E986: StockX Co-founder Josh Luber shares
Great episode with the Founder of StockX Josh Luber who is building a stock market for things, shares insights on the two cultural shifts that brought sneaker culture mainstream, attracting Mark Wahlberg, Eminem & Steve Aoki to invest along with Google Ventures & Marc Benioff & growing a unicorn out of a sneaker-data site
StockX are a great example of a marketplace
Interviewer: My understanding is that you sell sneakers
Josh Luber: We don’t actually sell sneakers. We just connect sellers and buyers and our sellers, sell a lot of sneakers
Stock X is an actual stock market, look when I say a stock market people people immediately think about investments, but it’s not about investments its about the method of how we connect sellers and buyers - they come together around bids and asks. You have that and you can have a true market price
As a starting point there is one particular page for this single shoe, you go to eBay there is a thousand listings. So you have a difference between a listing model and a product page model

"Out of office" is a magic status that protects your attention.
TL;DR: The best time to get work done is when you do it outside of your normal routine
When I think back about the times in my life where I got the most done, created the most, or had a major breakthrough in some aspect of my life, it was often while I was supposed to be doing something else. For example, I’d sign up for a three-day conference, show up to registration, decide I don’t want to go, then sit in my hotel room, uninterrupted, and get some great work done for three days.
