#6: Value Prop, Business model & Google Doc's smart machine learning
The mission of my newsletter is to weekly find the key stories that show the incremental changes in products. Products that we use or are emerging. I will share the Offbeat stuff too, expect stories that don’t fit in with the pace of the world but stand out - from me to you. I also share one or more tools that are useful.
Note: This newsletter is still in beta so give me the room to make changes.
Please share this on Twitter/Facebook if you like it. ❤️

Starling Bank intro Spending Insights
The UK #FinTech space is going to be interesting in 2017.
So by now, I’m sure you have seen at least 1 person with their coral Monzo card. (well if we’ve had coffee you’ve seen me pull out mine). Now let’s put aside the fact that CEO of Monzo left was with Starling at the start and left with their original staff or the fact that Starling played that prank on Monzo following Tom’s.
The key differentiator for me is that fact that Starling is a full-stack bank. They built their tech completely from the ground up - no third party software and they have opened their API. The marketplace is going to be active!
Is it early to say Monzo for UX and Starling for the API and the potential strength of their API - time will tell.
Anyways the main point here is that Starling has introduced Spending Insights and judging by Twitter comments it looks like they are likening it to a copy and paste of Monzo’s spending functionality - don’t think the Monzonauts will be happy…
