#99 5 min prototypes, quick contact forms, tech in Africa and a special giveaway
After a few months sharpening my HTML/CSS and JS skills I decided to work on a project that will be my first real baby. Overtime I will continue to add to it. I was going to learn about a coding language that extends the capabilities of CSS but felt like I was rushing so I’ll continue building for a bit first.
Quick quote from a dev:
Copy - paste is the worst way to learn, if anything people should be rewriting what they’re being shown, so that it goes into long term brain memory
Love for following me all this time. As a thank you I am offering a free tech ticket to FounderVine Fest. Just show some love on Twitter by clicking here to take part..

Coupled vs Decoupled CMS
The coupled content management system (CMS) is the traditional architecture where the back-end is bound to the front-end. E.g. WordPress or Drupal. It allows users to create content, save it to the back-end and serve it to the front-end. Usually, the coupled CMS allows users to style and customise the frontend, but often those changes are limited.
The Decoupled CMS (aka Headless) is a back-end only and provides the RESTful API which can be used to build any front-end around
“The term headless comes from the concept of chopping the head (the front end, i.e. the website) off the body (the back end, i.e. the content repository)” — Wikipedia
