One thing I’ve been reflecting on is what I’m learning from people going from 1 - 10 (past traction but still refining customer base, channels, pricing, etc) and how much they focus on making their customers happy and being of value to their network.
I always visualise this product lifecycle when I think about the trajectory of products/services in markets
Look at Meta, as big as they are they have cannibalised their positioning and strategy seem’s off. Apple’s betting early on Vision glasses and even though I don’t know if it will be a success or not, we can learn a lot by choosing what game we choose to play.
I take more time taking into consideration sources, how much people understand where one is, and how their business works when it comes to the advice they give.
Without any baseline whatever actions you take (and not taking any action is an action) we learn more and can work with real data.
Don’t get pulled into other people’s games, fears, and biases. Better to play your own game and keep score for yourself.
Play long games with long people - it’s more fun.
