We talk a lot about growth but in the past two weeks, I spoke to founders who couldn’t scale. One had to pause growing her cosmetics business because people wanted her to do hair and she hadn’t got the right processes in place, the other was behind on tasks because he spent June filming and doing TV. I’ve become really interested in this - even dare I say it, more so than helping startups get their first customers. I always shied away from it but have been good at it from the beginning of my career and I have examples in banking when I created the new Solar product line for an energy company moving into the new energy solution space and building automation using no code has brought that back.

Apart from seeing how good you are at acquiring customers, investors want to know that you can scale to a billion-dollar company that will win in your category. You can’t do that without operational efficiency.

Ever scheduled an email, a tweet or a Slack message? Imagine, automating internal tasks, external notifications and emails based on actions your customers take. These 5 - 10 mins add enormous value as you grow.

💡Tips for non-technical business founders

UX = The feeling when you arrive
